Made by Google Event Day: Pixel Watch 5 and Pixel 11 Officially Launch at 6 PM ET

Today is launch day. Google{"'"}s Made by Google event begins at 6 PM ET (3 PM PT) in New York City, hosted by Trevor Noah. Thanks to an avalanche of leaks, we already know virtually everything — but official pricing, availability, and launch-day surprises are all on the table.

Pixel Watch 5: $399, Doubled Internals, Gemini AI (Eventually)

The Pixel Watch 5 keeps its circular design but doubles RAM to 3GB and storage to 64GB to power on-device Gemini Intelligence. The 41mm Wi-Fi starts at $399 ($50 more than Watch 4), with the 45mm LTE topping out at $529. Pre-orders open August 13, retail availability on August 20. One caveat: Gemini AI features on Wear OS 7 won{"'"}t be available at launch — they{"'"}re deferred to "later in 2026."

Pixel 11: Four Models, $100 Price Hikes

The Pixel 11, Pixel 11 Pro, Pixel 11 Pro XL, and Pixel 11 Pro Fold all get the new Tensor G6 chip with a MediaTek modem replacing Samsung{"'"}s. Base storage jumps to 256GB, and every model costs $100 more than its predecessor due to the global memory chip shortage. The Pro Fold at $1,899 features an 8-inch folding OLED with 100x machine-learning zoom.

Pixel Tag: Google{"'"}s $29 AirTag Rival

The Pixel Tag launches at $29, matching Apple{"'"}s AirTag on price. It integrates with Google{"'"}s Find Hub network and includes a built-in speaker, though UWB support remains the big unknown.
