Oura Ring 5 FCC Filing Points to Late-Summer 2026 Launch with Larger Sensors and New Colors

The Oura Ring 5 is getting closer to reality. An FCC filing published April 8, 2026 (FCC ID 2AD7V-OURA2602) lists a new ring as model OA13 and its charger as OA14. Combined with earlier design leaks, we now have a clearer picture of what's coming — and when.

• Larger optical sensors and improved red/green LEDs — better view of blood flow for more accurate heart rate and SpO2 tracking
• Softer, more curved profile compared to Ring 4's angular design — closer to a traditional ring look

• Production-ready hardware: The FCC tested a commercial sample ring in size 13, not an early prototype

When to Expect It

The filing includes a 180-day confidentiality request pushing hidden materials to early September 2026. Based on past Oura launches and the production-ready state of the filing, a late summer to early autumn 2026 launch is the strongest reading.

What This Means for Buyers

If you're considering an Oura Ring Gen 4 at $349, this changes the math. Ring 5 is likely 4–5 months away with meaningful sensor upgrades. If you can wait, hold off.
