Pixel Watch Health Guardian Rolling Out: Blood Pressure Trends, Insulin Resistance, and Sleep Breathing Go Live

Google Health Guardian is going live. Version 5.09 of the Google Health app is rolling out this week to Pixel Watch 3, Pixel Watch 4, and Pixel Watch 5 owners, bringing three headline health features that put Google's smartwatch lineup closer to clinical-grade wellness monitoring than ever before.

What's New

• Blood Pressure Trends: Passively measures pulse and motion patterns over a month — no cuff or manual calibration required. You'll get a monthly trend report showing whether your blood pressure is stable, rising, or falling
• Insulin Resistance Trends: Analyzes multi-week physiological data to track shifts in metabolic health without requiring a blood draw. Designed as a wellness indicator, not a clinical diagnostic
• Sleep Breathing Quality: A morning report with insights on how much of your sleep was spent in optimal breathing vs. disturbed patterns

How It Works

All three features analyze long-term pattern changes over weeks rather than providing instant readings. They function as wellness indicators that flag when something may be shifting, prompting you to follow up with a doctor. First trend reports will arrive in early October once enough data has been collected.

Who Gets It
