Check your inbox. Valve's Steam Frame reservation lottery closed yesterday at 10:00 AM Pacific, and purchase emails are starting to go out today, September 18. If you entered the lottery, you'll receive one of two emails: a confirmed reservation with a purchase link, or a waitlist position number.

How the Purchase Window Works

Confirmed reservation holders have 72 hours from receiving their purchase email to complete the transaction. If you miss that window, your reservation passes to the next person on the waitlist. One purchase per household — no scalping allowed.

Pricing Recap

  • 256GB Kit: $1,059 — headset, controllers, Wi-Fi 6E wireless adapter, Half-Life: Alyx included
  • 1TB Kit: $1,299 — same bundle with larger storage

What If You're Waitlisted?

Don't give up — waitlist spots move up as others miss their purchase windows. Valve has confirmed additional production batches will be available in Q4 2026. In the meantime, the Meta Quest 3 ($549) and Quest 3S ($319) are available immediately. Read our waitlist guide or browse all VR headsets.
