Newly leaked specifications confirm the Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 will be Samsung's first smartwatch with 5G connectivity, a significant upgrade over the LTE-only original Ultra. The Ultra 2 will use 5G RedCap (Reduced Capability) in the US and South Korea, while other regions including Europe will stick with LTE. It's the first time 5G has appeared on a Samsung wearable, enabling faster standalone data connections when paired away from a phone.

The Ultra 2 will be available in Titanium Silver and Titanium Black, priced at €749 for the 47mm LTE/5G model. It's expected to be revealed at Samsung's Galaxy Unpacked event on July 22, with shipping starting August 6.
