Garmin is seriously entering the smart ring market. TechRadar reports that 10 distinct product codes for a device called the "CIRQA Smart Ring" have been filed with Brazil's Anatel — the country's telecommunications regulator. The simultaneous filing of ten variants strongly points to multiple ring sizes and color options.

Separate From the CIRQA Band

This is not the CIRQA Smart Band that launched on July 21 at $199.99 as Garmin's answer to WHOOP. The Smart Ring is a separate product in ring form factor, built in Taiwan and carrying its own regulatory filings. An earlier certification was issued by Indonesia's e-Sertifikasi database on August 12.

What We Don't Know

Garmin has not published an official product page, pricing, specifications, or release timeline. No renders or images have leaked. The Brazilian filing suggests the product is moving toward production readiness, but there's no guarantee of a 2026 launch.

Why It Matters

If Garmin enters the smart ring space, it would be the first major sports-tech brand to do so. Garmin's strength in GPS accuracy, training load analysis, and long battery life could differentiate a ring from the sleep-focused Oura Ring Gen 4 ($349) and the Samsung Galaxy Ring ($399). Ten models would also make it one of the most size-inclusive options at launch. Browse all options in our smart rings guide.
