Garmin has begun rolling out its Q3 2026 feature update, delivering hands-free voice control, all-day fall detection, and improved coaching features to compatible smartwatches and Edge cycling computers for free.

Which Watches Get the Update

Feature coverage varies by model. The Fenix 8, Venu 3, Enduro 3, and Instinct 3 series receive most or all of the eight tracked features. However, older models like the Fenix 6, Fenix 7, and Forerunner 965 are excluded from this update entirely.

This is separate from the Fenix 9 software backport announced last week, which brings features like ArcheryX and Stamina Zones to the Fenix 8.
