How to Reserve
Reservation signups are open now at store.steampowered.com and close Thursday, September 17 at 10:00 AM Pacific. Valve is using its familiar lottery system — sign up during the window, and the first batch of purchase emails goes out September 18. There's no guarantee of launch-day delivery, and past Valve hardware (Steam Deck) saw months-long queues.
How It Compares
At $1,059, the Steam Frame is roughly double the Meta Quest 3 at $549 and triple the Quest 3S at $319. The premium buys you SteamOS integration, a dedicated wireless PC VR adapter, eye tracking for foveated rendering, and access to the full Steam library. The Quest 3 remains the better value for casual VR users. Read our Steam Frame vs Quest 3 comparison for the full breakdown, or browse all AR/VR headsets.
